Roberto Olivan reflects in this show on the richness of diversity and the dualism between depth and superficiality, bringing to the stage dancers with very diverse personalities that are a reflection of social plurality. A dancer with gypsy roots, a dancer with achondroplasia, a performer who is just starting her professional career and himself, with all his background, career and age. A selection of performers far removed from conventional canons, which proposes to reflect on inner truths, everyday normalities and the gold—the light—that we all carry inside. “GOLD” invites coexistence and tolerance in a space where the individual accepts life’s challenges and obstacles, because beauty is also part of fragility. True beauty is not in the superficial, but in the uneven, authentic and genuine that we sometimes try to camouflage and avoid exposing.

ROPA / Roberto Olivan Performing Arts is the company from which the choreographer and dancer Roberto Olivan promotes, manages and realizes all his artistic projects: his own creations, workshops, commissions, the Deltebre Dansa Festival and L’Obrador Espai de Creació. ROPA / Roberto Olivan Performing Arts was founded by Roberto Olivan in 2001 in Brussels, when it was then known as the Enclave company. Currently, ROPA / Roberto Olivan Performing Arts is established in the heart of the Delta de l’Ebre (Deltebre, Catalonia), where it has its headquarters, L’OBRADOR Espai de Creació. As part of its activity, since 2001, the company has created, produced and brought its own productions, workshops and also commissions internationally. Likewise, ROPA / Roberto Olivan Performing Arts is the organizing entity of the Deltebre Dansa Festival (Catalonia) and promoter of L’OBRADOR Espai de Creació, a center for contemporary artistic creation specialized in the arts of movement.
